A Journey To "Paradise OF Earth" Kashmir:



My trip to the breathtaking valley Kashmir, known as the Paradise of Earth. I heard alot of new and unique things about Kashmir's beauty but seeing it in real life is an opportunity that I got now. Let's get an glimpse into my journey to the Kashmir, that left my memories unforgettable and made my trip beautiful and charming. You'll also get some tips in the end of my experience to how to visit Kashmir.

Getting to Kashmir

For my journey to the Kashmir, I decided to fly directly to Srinagar, known as the Summer capital of Kashmir. When the plane began to fly, I got my eyes on the snow capped Himalayas and the lush greenery valleys surrounded by the grass. And soon when the plane landed, I stepped off the plan, getting an waving crispy and cool air that greeted me on my way, and the pine trees behind it gave it a masterpiece picturesque.

 If you ever wanted to reach Kashmir, you can choose several ways such as air, rail and roads. The most convenient way is by air which connects major cities in India to Srinagar Airport, located around 15 km from the City. And if you're traveling by train, then Jammu Tawi is the closest railway station and it's about 290 km from Srinagar, as after it you can take taxi or bus. And if you're fond in scenic road trip, then the NH44 highway will be the best to give you an authentic picturesque journey through the mountains.

Shrinagar: First Destination:


My first destination to visit was Srinagar. Surely the Place was more than everything that I'd imagined. Some highlight places that I explored were Dal Lake and the Tulip Garden which got me left an incredible impression on my experience.

Dal Lake: A Lovly experience:



First I went to Dal Lake, it is an iconic gem of Srinagar. I was so captivated by the peacefulness and charming views of it. I took an shikara ride on the calm waters of the Lake that felt like heaven to me. The surrounding side things like mountains, houseboats and the floating garden gave me an added matched beauty to the experience. As soon I glided across the lake, I got a glimpse of local life in Kashmir, from vendors selling fresh fruits vegetables to craftsmen showcasing traditional Kashmiri Handicrafts.

Tulip Garden:




Next I visited the famous Tulip Garden that must added a burst of color to my black and white journey. It is set against the backdrop of the Zabarwan Range. Watching the straight rows of vibrant tulips in multiple colours such as red, yellow, pink and purple were so mesmerizing to me. Exploring the tulip garden from it's starting to its end was an soothing experience. The best season to visit and explore this opportunity is during the Blooming season in Spring, it can make an must visit place for any nature lover as me.


Apart from this, I also strolled through the Mughal gardens such as Shalimar Bhag and the Nishat Bhag, got my eyes by its each filled fountains and the Persian inspired architecture and the vibrant flowers.

Adventure in Gulmarg:

Next I decided to travel the Gulmarg, popularly known for its world class skiing and the beauty of it's views. The moment I ride the Gulmarg Gondola by the top of Mount Apharwat was exhilarating for me as I could felt like I was on the top of the World. As it was surrounded by the long blankets of snow. I also tried to do skiing, and the experience was so wholesome and excited. I enjoyed every activity that I could do here.

 Pahalgam:A Best Honeymoon Destination:




Now I visited Pahalgam, popular as Honeymoon destination. It was my peaceful escape that was surrounded by lush greenery, rivers and the pine forests. In Pahalgam I tried the Pony ride to Baisaran, known as *Mini Switzerland* because of its stunning scenery. The view by the valleys was so serene by its gazing sheeps and the breathtaking mountain views.bi spent some time there and now I couldn't forget those moments that I spent there.

Betaab Valley: Bollywood Favourite:

My next visit was to the Betaab valley, located near Pahalgam. The fact is that it got its name from the bollywood movie Betaab, which was shot here only. I got to know the reason that this valley is favourite for the filmmakers by visiting there. I got so impressed by the dramatic views of the valleys, the lush greenery meadows, and an lovely river. I took some pictures of its picture perfect landscapes. I spent some hours by relaxing here and watching the scenic spots and the local views.

 A Trekker's Paradise: Aru Valley:

After an short drive of an hour from Pahalgam, I explored the Aru valley that is famous for its incredible trekking routes. I explored the valley and it offered a tranquil escape with its meadows, rivers and the tiny traditional huts with the beautiful landscapes. It is also an perfect base for trekkers and to explore the Kolahoi Glaciers or Tarsar marsar Lakes.

 Sonmarg: A Golden Fields:

My next destination was the sonmarg known as Meadow of Gold, was an vision of its beauty with golden fields and mountains. Here I also found the unusual sight of Kashmir. I explored the gentle rivers and an adorable landscapes during the way. I also did an short trek which was an highlight for sonmarg, as it was an sense of overwhelming calm. 

Wular Lake: Asia's Largest Freshwater Lakes




When I visited the wular lake, I found it to be a beautiful and ideal peaceful spot where I could experience the serenity of Kashmir's fresh water. The scenic landscapes with the majestic mountains to the chirping of the birds got me left with an sense of gratitude. I spent a few good hours here, just melting in the Tranquility of it and watching the gentle ripples on the lake.


Best time to visit kashmir:

Some best months to visit Kashmir is from March to October as it is that time of spring and the valleys are in full bloom, where as in summer (may to August) it will offers you an pleasant weather and great views. Next time is to visit kashmir in Autumn season (September to October) it will prefer you an beautiful authentic landscape with golden leaves. And if you're fond in snow and winter sports then you might like December to February months.

Kashmir Famous For:

Kashmir famous for -There are many things in Kashmir, which was most famous like - Apples, dryfruits, pashmina shawls, and handicrafts . That things are nice, I bought some apples , dryfruits and woolen outfits as a memento.

Last Moment:

Leaving kashmir was an heartbreak for me as it has its own story to tell. Exploring kashmir was an warm and ideal experience that I'll hold close to my heart. The stunning landscapes and the trekkings got me melted. I left the Kashmir but I'll carry the memories of beauty kindness and pure joy.

I'll wait to return to this heaven again sometime and soon I'll cherish these moments again with alot of joy and happiness in my soul. If you ever get a chance to visit Kashmir, then you must get itz don't think once or twice, it will be surely your best decision for the life.
