Exploring The Capital of India: Delhi:
Visiting to Delhi was one of the most memorable experience of my life. I have heard alot of things about the New Delhi and old Delhi, I was so excited and amused to get my first experience in Delhi. As being an developing state, delhi has been renovating by years and the metros, the roads, the shops almost everything has changed. Every corner tells a story or the history related to it, I was so nervous and excited as it was my first experience to visit a state like Delhi. Let's further start my journey and the majestic experience.
My First Sight ON: The City of Rallies:
The moment I stepped in Delhi, I felt the unique pulse of Delhi that it never stop moving a far. I was watching the two sides of delhi, first one was about the modern era like metro, shops and the local beauty. The other side I can feel the same and spiritual aroma like the old Street foods, old age ancient structures like humayun tomb , red fort and more places. As on my first sight, I can see and feel the delhi like an developing and a most famous state of love.
Places to visit in Delhi:
Humayun's Tomb: First Destination:
My first Destination to explore in Delhi was the famous and oldest humayun's tomb. I usually had seen it in the pictures but when I came near to it, the feeling was unbelievable!. I was like,I just wanted to immediately appreciate the Mughal architecture asap. When I saw it clearly, I could see the unreal textured wall made of red sandstones and the old beauty. I was mesmerizing by the green garden surrounding the Humayun's tomb as I'm very fond of nature and it was an peaceful and meticulous feeling.
Qutub Minar:
After visiting Humayun's tomb, I got my eyes on the Qutub Minar, The tallest brick minaret in the world. The moment I saw it for the first time, my eyes were stuck by its height and the looks. I was staring at the minar for too long as I was adorned with the intricate carvings, inscriptions made on it. The pillar is stood over 1,500 years without getting rusting on it. It was an mystery for me that why it was in that amazing shape and the looks still after the 1,500 years!, sadly no one can unable to have me that answer properly. But I'm amazed that the people of that time had that much technology to create something this much durable!. After spending some time at Qutub minar, I went to explore some more places near it.
JAMA Masjid:
One of the most significant moments of my trip was visiting Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque. Its towering minarets and grand domes dominate the skyline of Old Delhi, and entering the mosque felt like stepping into a world of tranquility. Climbing to the top of one of the minarets gave me a panoramic view of the city—a breathtaking sight where I could see the chaotic streets of Chandni Chowk below, contrasted with the more modern skyline in the distance.
India Gate: Symbol of Sacrifices:
Obviously, I'll not leave the place without visiting the India gate. India gate was made to give an tribute to Indian soldiers who lost their lives during the World wars. When I stood near the India gate I could feel the silence and spirituality of the place.. It gave me the pride to stand for my own country. India gate is not just an war memorial, but it is also an symbol of the sacrifices made by the every soldiers. This place made me an beautiful spirit for the country and to meet new peoples. When I saw the Amar Jawan jyoti, I left unpleased as the feeling was so deep that I got truly emotional and want to thank the soldiers who had lost their lives.
Night View Of India Gate:
The night view of India Gate was so amazing. It looks stunning, full of colourful lights. I saw lots of couples in the night time,it is best place to all couples. You should must visit with your partner .
Rashtrapati Bhawan:
The official residence of the President of India, lies in New Delhi. Ofcourse not everyone can access the rashtrapati bhawan but I take the view itself and by exploring the Mughal garden specifically. Mughal garden was so enriched with varieties of flowers and plants. The atmosphere was so majestic by the insects and the flaura and fauna.
Akshardham Temple:
This temple is an stunning architecture known for its ideal intricate and carvings. I went to this temple at night and the beauty was so awesome the evening light and the sounds matches the atmosphere so majesticly. I spend my time in this temple by walking near the gardens of akshardham and to learn more about the Hindu culture.
Lotus Temple:
Next I visited the Lotus temple. I left untouched when I saw the beautiful unique lotus shaped design of the temple. It is also known as the House of Worships, the Lotus temple has gardens around it and as usual I spend times by sitting aside the nature and taking the atmosphere in my era. Exploring lotus Temple was the best part of my journey.
Exploring Old Delhi: Chandni Chowk:
After visiting some famous monuments of Delhi, I wanted to visit the Old Delhi and its famous places to explore! The real heartbeat of this city held in the streets of old Delhi. So on my way, I entered in the Chandni chowk. It is an ideal and a huge market known for their wholesale clothings, fashion, wedding related items, spices, electronics and ofcourse it's stunning Street foods. The moment I started exploring the Chandni chowk, I looked everywhere!, people were selling sweets, foods, huge shops of lehengas, saree, jewellery, handicrafts and much more. As a women it will be your best place for shopping and to discover new culture traditions. I bought alot of jewellery and the quality were on the top. At the end I want to say that chandani chowk is one of the best local shopping market for you!
Visiting the Paranthe Wali Gali :
If you're fond of yummy foods like me, then you must try this street food in Delhi. On my trip to Delhi, I visited the Paranthe Wali Gali, an local delicacy of Delhi. This shop is famous for its huge is yummy stuffed parathas. The moment I tasted it, it was felt like heaven! The Paratha was so mild and decent at its taste. It was having a crispy and buttery flavour, filled with the grated paneer and boiled potatoes. Ofcourse, the parathas are incomplete without the spices of INDIA. The parathas was an decent meal, but it is so flavoursome and an affordable food.
At last I tasted an sweet called Jalebi in Chandani chowk. It was the best sweet I've ever had in my life, it was filled with sweet syrup, soft from inside and hella crispy from outside.
Connaught Place: Heart of Delhi:
Old Delhi felt like living in the past, where New Delhi is like to livin the modernity aka city's rich culture. To explore the New Delhi I started to visit the Connaught Place. It is placed at the side of the road and is an widespread Building with an beautiful white colour. I found some cafes, restaurants, shops and much more to explore. In front of that, there is also the street foods of Delhi, you can taste. I spent my time here till the evening and the view I saw was so majestic. The aroma is enough to make you feel authentic.
Delhi Metro: Pride Of Delhi:
I found the easiest way to explore delhi in less time. As i used the metro system of the New Delhi!. The metro was so clean and efficient, and it also provides you an authentic air conditioning journey. The places I explored till now in Delhi, I visited them by the use of metro. At the metro station there are also alot of food shops to peek in! They serve you burgers, momos and much more snacks! Metro is the pride of Delhi. Millions of people use metro to travel the locality instead of an taxi or auto, you wonder why?. I also experienced this! When I travel in taxi they charged me alot of money just to travel for 5-6 km away! But since when I started to travel by metro they just charged so affordable price for your any destination!
Delhi's Culture and traditions:
Delhi is not just famous for its foods, cuisines and monuments, but it's also famous for its art, museums and cultural centres. I visited the National museum in Delhi , I got so mesmerized by the arts, Mughal paintings, the significance of the historic events.
During my experience of Delhi, I gathered in the most famous festival of Delhi was Diwali, known as the festival of lights, I celebrated the diwali by decorating the house by diyas, lightning and doing pooja. At night I finished my diwali celebration by fireworks and by eating sweets. It was one of the best part of my whole Delhi's journey
Conclusion:
Spending some time in Delhi was best decision I made. I get to know about the modern and the old traditions of The delhi, the developing stages of Delhi, Famous festivals the people celebrate, local delicacies and the beautiful monuments left me untouched. This city has marked me mesmerized at all. The moment I'll missed will be the parathas, Diwali celebration and the local hospitality of the best people of Delhi.
