As soon as I stepped in Varanasi, Uttarpradesh..I was welcomed by an energetic wave, an unconditional smell of love and the hustle chaos. I started exploring Varanasi from the scratch where in my way I found cows migrating here and there, vendors selling fruits, flowers, sweets and the local spiritual mandirs.

My First Glimpse of the Ghats:

My first task on the list was to explore the iconic ghats of Varanasi. As I walked along the ghats, I noticed some people who are taking holy dip in the river Ganges. Some of the people are attending the prayers, few of them are just meditating and a few of people were enjoying the boat ride. The ghats of Varanasi is not just a river, it is place where life meets death.

Assi Ghat:

Assi Ghat is one of the most famous ghat in Varanasi. It is famous for its subah ki aarti (morning aarti ritual). Every local people attends it every day for the feeling of spirituality and dignity. It is meant that goddess durga after killing the demon throw her sword in the river (known as assi).

Dashashwamedh Ghat:

At the Famous Dashashwamedh Ghat, I attend the spiritual evening Ganga Aarti where Hundreds of devotees and travellers were gathered to be a part of the holy aarti. Priests entered and started to began the aarti by ringing the bells, and the lighting of lamps. During the Aarti, I could feel the spiritual aur and the atmosphere that this aarti had evoked. This Ganga Aarti is one of the most meticulous part of my Varanasi journey.

If you're visiting Varanasi then you must not to leave it without exploring the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This temple has a rich history and is considered one of the most sacred places in Hinduism. The heart sobbing good bye to Varanasi:

Leaving Varanasi, I realized that this city is more than its ghats, temples, or chaotic streets—it is a reflection of life itself, with all its complexities, beauty, and mystery. Varanasi stays with you long after you’ve left, like a quiet whisper reminding you of life’s deeper truths. My time there was truly transformative, and I left with a sense of peace, eager to return one day to immerse myself once again in its timeless embrace.

While saying a goodbye to the most ancient city, I realised that the city is too riched in its chaotic streets, vendors, nature, ghats and ofcourse stunning temples. My time in Varanasi had been truly transformative, I left the city with a sense of peace, dignity and a sign of love for everyone. I hope one day I'll revisit this city to make my experience in more proper and in pathetic way!.
