My spritual journey Mathura: The Krishna's Nagri:



Mathura, also known as the birthplace of Lord Krishna. As I stepped into the land of the mathura, the feeling was so spiritual essence. Mathura holds an important place for Indians and it attracts tourists from all over the world by its spirituality.

First view: Near the Railway Station

When I stepped in the Mathura junction railway station, I started exploring the places nearby. Where I found a local street market just near the railway station. The market was fully crowded and the shops were colourful and the vendors selling sweets, saaree, street food and attracting the tourist like me.


Ways to reach Mathura:

You can reach Mathura by bus and text, from nearby cities like Delhi and Agra. Although Mathura has no airport but you can also reach by air the nearest airport is Agra which around 60 km from Mathura. But I prepared trevaling by train. From the station you can hire local transport like auto and cycle rickshaw it is easily available at the station

 

Krishna Janmabhoomi: The Birthplace of Lord Krishna



The first task on my list was to explore Krishna janmabhoomi, the birthplace of Lord Krishna. when I entered in the temple complex, the devotion and the spirituality given by people towards the god were insanely unbelievable. It is said that the temple is built near the prison cell where shree krishna have been born. I truly felt amazing after exploring the temple and knowing more about the History of Krishna's janmabhoomi.


Prem Mandir: The Temple of Love:



Now, my one of the most loved mandir of all the time is Prem Mandir. It is the most popular and beautiful temple I've Ever visited. Prem mandir is built by White marbles, and it looks stunning throughout the day. This temple is majorly dedicated to Shree Krishna and Radha. It depicts various scenes from their lives by using carvings and sculptures. It's atmosphere is enough to make you feel religious and spiritual. In the night Prem Mandir looks more beautiful. You can see different types of lights in the night that makes it more attractive. 

Timing of visiting in the temple :

You can visit this temple all over the week. From 5:30 am to 12 pm and 4:30 to 8:30 pm, Aarti timing is: 6:30 am.

ISKCON Temple: A Place of Serenity:

Iskcon temple is next to my trip.Iskcon temple was very famous for its beautiful structure. It also known the " "krishna Balaram" temple The temple is located in Raman reti in Vrindavan at bank of river Yamuna. You can easily reach by regular transport from Mathura railway station. A peaceful rhythmic sound " Hare krishna" make a divine atmosphere arround you when you enter the temple. It said that Krishna and Balaram herd cow here.


Dwarkadhish Temple:

Dwarkadhish Temple is a oldest temple.It is dedicate to Lord Krishna.who is also known the Dwarkadhish " Lord of Dwarka" . The main thing of this temple make special is Lord Krishna in standing posture, with ornate clothes and jwellery.During the festival time like " Janmashtami" and Holi there is a great rush.every year in this period lots of pilgrims come here and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.It is located in the heart of Mathura. You should must visit there.

Timing of visiting the temple:

You can visit from 6:30 am to 10 :30 am and 4 : pm to 7: pm in the winter the temple was open till 6:pm only.

Kusum Sarovar:



Kusum Sarovar is an beautiful sandstone building situated between the govardhan and Radha kund in Mathura. It is surrounded by stunning pond and you can take the amazing view of the building with pond. It is said that Kusum Sarovar got its name from one of the attendance of Radha, named Kusum. You can take an holy dip or can swim in the water near the building.

Radha Kund:

Radha Kund, considered to be the one of the holiest place in Braja. Radha kund is located near the Govardhan hills in Mathura containing pure holy and sacred water. It is believed that it has magical properties to heal from specific diseases.

Vaishno Devi Dham in Vrindavan:



Vaishnodevi dham in Mathura is commonly known as Vaishno Devi mandir. As the name suggests, this temple is dedicated to Ma vaishno devi. There is a cave in the temple with water.It is secret place of Hindus.

When I entered the temple, no any fees for visit.The timing of visiting temple.

Temple is open for everyday. 8 am to 1 pm and 4 pm to 8 pm. You must visit there.

 Govardhan hills :



Govardhan hill or also known as giri Raj, can be found at a distance of 22 km from the Vrindavan. According to Lord krishna, stated in the holy book Bhagvat Geeta- govardhan parvat is not different from him. Hence, everyone worship the govardhan parvat not as an parvat but as their idol.

Exploring Mathura’s Culture and Traditions:

The culture of Mathura a mixture of devotion, music, and festivals. The festivals like Janmastmi, Holi, and Radha Ashtami are celebrating in different style in Mathura. Raslila, famous folk dance and drama on Krishna's life is regularly performed you must see.

Lath maar Holi :



Lath maar Holi is an unique celebration in barsana, Mathura. On the day of Holi, the of people Mathura playes lath maar Holi with everyone. The women playfully hit men with (lath) sticks and men try to defend themselves from womens. It is dedicated to Shree Krishna and gopis. The people of Mathura playfully enjoy the Holi by music, dance, making of sweets, and ofcourse by colours.


Famous Sweet: Peda



Peda is a famous sweet of Mathura no one can leave without testing it.Ii is very soft and tasty. Peda was not a sweet it's a significance of Mathura 's culture.It is also used in "Prasad ' in the temples . when I test, it was amazing test.

My unforgettable experience:

My journey experience was amazing.It was a more than a visit to me.The Holy city Mathura was a spiritual essence.Mathura gave me a deep sense of joy. Religious chants, and temples are unforgettable things.Mathura is a place where history meets divinity every corner has story to tell. So everyone must visit Mathura.
