Shimla: A Summer capital of India:

Shimla is the summer capital of India and most visited hill station in Himachal Pradesh, India it is also known the " Queen of Hills". just because of its temperate environment and picturesque surrounding. This Himalayan mountain town - which is located at an elevation of around 2,200 metres. Served as a British India's Summer capital. It is the most famous tourist destination in India 

I recently plan to visit Shimla. That a amazing place , as my friend told me.so I plan to visit shimla. So let's start my journey. You know more about Shimla in this article.

How to get to Shimla:

There are many ways to reach shimla,  but I can't wait to visit Shimla,so I choose by flight from New Delhi to Shimla. Jubbarhatti  is the nearest airport is located roughly 23 kilometres from Shimla. other is Chandigarh airport is 120 kilometres away, it has greater connectivity. 

You can also reach here by train, the Kalka -.Shimla narrow gauge railway is UNESCO World Heritage site in India.

 There are regular bus services and texi rental available, that are making Shimla an easily accessible road trip to Delhi (350 km) and chandigarh ( 115 miles).in this way you experience the view itself and enjoy the peaceful nature.

The Ridge: my first Destination:

Said that Shimla is home to many famous tourist destination, that are rich in history and culture and natural beauty. First I choose The Ridge 

The Ridge :

It is the heart of the city and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. It is also the cultural hub, where major events are held throughout the year 

The Ridge is first in my trip. It is only 10 kilometres away from airport,so I decided to visit there first.It was amazing place, where I saw there are mountains and mountains. Also known as Heart of city and  a cultural hub, where major events are held throughout the year. Here I feel peaceful surroundings.

Mall road:

             

After exploring the Ridge,I went Mall Road, which is just a short walk from the Ridge. The view of Mall road was, a busy and crowded street lined with shops,cafes, and restaurants, that things making it an ideal place for shopping and unhurried walk. I just love it.if you fond of shopping, then you must visit there.

Jakhoo temple:

                  Jakhoo temple is dedicated to Lord

 Hanuman, is perched on Jakhoo Hill and offers both spiritual significance and an incredible view of the city. I visited this temple, was very spritual. Its a famous holiest temple and tourist spot.

Kali Bari Temple;

                                            This sacred Hindu shrine known as Kali Bari Temple in Shimla is devoted to the goddess Kali. Constructed in 1845, it holds a stunning statue of the goddess, Shyamala, the namesake of the city, who is also revered. Devotees and visitors alike frequent the temple because of its tranquil mood and picturesque setting.

Christ church:

Other visited places by me,  Christ Church, one of the oldest churches in North India, it is so wonderful and beautiful church, people come here and pray to fulfill their wishes.

 Kufri:

Kufri is nearby hill station famous for its snow-capped peaks in winter, making it a hotspot for skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts.I can't visit here because, there was no snowfall in this time ( May).

Viceregal Lodge :

                                                                                          

I also visit the rashtrapati niwas ,another name for Viceregal Lodge. This opulent building, constructed in 1888, housed the British Viceroy of India. It is a masterpiece of architecture, combining English Renaissance and Scottish Baronial design elements. Due to its role as a location for numerous significant conversations, notably the 1947 partition talks, the lodge has enormous historical values.

Shimla famous for?

There are many famous things in Shimla which I saw. The specialty of Shimla that it's rich culture, rolling Hills popular shopping areas , handicrafts, Apple orchard. Major feature of Shimla visual and greenery offer and ideal Gateway from the visit City. Shimla is a very popular destination , because of its pleasent weather . You will feel not hot neither cold, lovely! People of Shimla celebrate many colorfull festivals and events. My heart is full of joy knowing about its. it is also famous  just because of its toy train a UNESCO World Heritage mountain,that provide a beautiful amazing experience life ever,I missed it, but you tried to enjoy this toy train.

Best Time to Visit Shimla:

In this article you know  about Shimla, but you would be want to know , 

Which time is best to Visit Shimla . When I went to Shimla in the month of "May" that was perfect to outdoor activities and my office off so I decided to go in the month of May but you want to the enjoy the pleasent  weather of Shimla.  

best time  is "March to June". This period was ideal period to visit Shimla and outdoor activities.

 if you want to experience  snowfall then you should go December to February this is the ideal time to visit in winter. in this period the city transform in a Paradise . You enjoy the snow, and snowy  mountains.  if I plan visit to Shimla next time , I am sure that time was it December to February, to enjoy snowfall. This time you experience the skiing and snowboarding in nearby town Kufri.

Mouthwatering cuisines of Shimla:

After exploring the Shimla then I start exploring the famous cousin and food of Shimla ,which can stop my hungriness. So I taste many street food like" Dham" is a very famous dishe in Shimla The Cousin of a Shimla typical North Indian street food and regional Himachali cousins ."Dham "is a traditional Himachali dishe served on every special occasion  and "chana Madra" are yogurt based chickpea curry .Steamed bread, or siddu, is a popular dish in the area that is typically eaten with dal or ghee. In addition to traditional cuisine, street meals like Aloo Tikki and Chole Bhature are highly well-liked, particularly on Mall Road where patrons may eat these snacks while taking in the atmosphere. I'm a foodie, enjoy many famous dishes. Shimla like a "Heaven" for food lovers.

My journey come to the End:

 Travelling to Shimla is one of the best decision I've ever made!. The calm surroundings, the nature, the views and the tourist places were the best of the shimla. The atmosphere of shimla was so majestic for me, whether it is about Mall road or whether ridge, my overall experience was so amazing. As now my journey came to an end 🔚 I want to thank to myself that I was able to visit this beautiful destination and to explore about our India's rich culture more clearly. Every second I spend in Shimla was the best part of whole journey, I get to know about the traditions, the cultures of the local people,the cuisines they had and much more. If you're fond of combining of the stunning mountains, cold winters and the greenery then shimla can be the best option for your destination. The one thing I missed was the popular snowfall in shimla, but ill be sure when I visit this amazing place again then I'll surely attend the snowfall.

Shimla offer unique mixture of natural beauty, historical significance and modern convenience making, It one of the India's top travel destination. whether you are looking for adventure, Peace of Mind, natural beauty and culture, then you should must go Shimla. its pleasent climate Heritage and stunning landscape, make its perfect place both for the short vacation and long. So  anyone seeking and rejuvenating escape to the mountain ,Shimla is a must visit destination.
