The moment I stepped out of the car, I could probably feel an crispy moment in the atmosphere. The streets were so quiet , no more vehicles on the roads. I totally felt to be in an different world apart from our earth and the daily hustle and bustle in our lives.
After reached in Dalhousie, I checked in to a heritage style Hotel, that overlooked the beautiful valley. The view from my room's window was amazing ,sun casting golden glow on the hills. The charm of Dalhousie was visible all around - from the old building to street light and the relaxed pace of life that the place seemed to follow.
Exploring Dalhousie:
Gandhi Chowk:
Excitement to exploring the Dalhousie, I woke up early in the next morning. My journey started by the Ghandhi Chowk nearest my hotel, that's a main market area of Dalhousie. It's a great place to feel local vibe and small shops selling like -souvenirs, woolen outfits, and Himachali handicrafts. The narrow streets had a mix of local and tourist. Even crowded, the place created a peaceful atmosphere. I enjoyed shopping and a steaming hot cup of tea.
Subash Chowk:
Exploring the Gandhi chowk, I visited to the another popular place in Dalhousie, Subhash Chowk. It was here that I visited the St, Francis Church, beautiful place. The structure of this Church was so majestic that dates back to the 1800s. The striking architecture and calm surrounding make more charming it. I spend some time inside it's peaceful surroundings and appreciating the patterns of glass windows
The most awaited part of my journey was visiting Khajjiar, know as the 'Mini Switzerland of India'. It's located about 21 kms from Dalhousie. I was very excited to get there. I took a drive to Khajjiar through the dense forests deodar and pine. during it I enjoyed the glimpses of snow covered mountains, and majestic landscape, every turn revealing a new amazing view. This journey experience was beautiful.
Khajjiar: A Best Honeymoon place:
As I reached Khajjiar, I was awestruck by the vast and green meadow surroundings by thik forest. The highlight of this place is ,a small lake in the the middle of the meadow. Which adds overall beauty of the place. I spent some hours here, enjoyed the cool breeze, walking around and taking a panoramic view of the surrounding hills . I felt that time stop here ,I could just be present in the moment, away from daily life chaos.
As my experience, It's a best Honeymoon destination for couples. If you're looking a honeymoon place, so I will suggest you, khajjiar. The beauty of this place was amazing.
Khajjiar also offer a range of activities like zorbing and horse riding for adventure seekers. I tried to a horse ride which took me around the meadow and into the nearby forest. That was a thrilling and peaceful experience. The only sound that broke the silence of the hill , that was horse hooves.
Bhalei Mata Temple:
Another best pilgrim that I enjoyed was the Bhalei Mata temple, it is situated in the Chamba village. When I visited the temple, It was fully surrounded by the thick forest. The road between the forest was offering me the beautiful view of the surroundings. In the temple I could feel the air of spirituality and the peace of silencenes Temple holds. Exploring Bhalei Mata Temple was an desirable experience for me.
This Bhalei Mata temple is visited by the locals and tourists alike. I found the temple's architecture simple yet beautiful because of its sharp carvings.

During the third day of my trip, I explored and ideal picnic spot known as Panchpula, located few kilometres from Dalhousie. I got an chilling vibe by its cold waterfalls and hot streams. Again it was also surrounded by the pine forests and deodar, made me felt amazing and loved towards the nature. Dalhousie offers my a variety of new options from Himachali Cuisines to the simple north Indian food. I tried the Local speciality called Dham, an traditional Himachali dish contained rice, dal, rajma and curries. The spicy and mild flavours of the Dham was so authentic and traditional. The flavours were simple and delicious. It was the best moment to enjoy with the cool weather.
